The Ward Memorial Hospital Nursing Staff strives to provide high quality medical care with a personal touch.  In each of our patient care areas, the patient's needs are considered top priority.  Your physician's orders are carried out by the skilled Nursing Staff, and your physician is consulted regarding any changes in or questions about your condition or treatment.

The nursing care units include the general Medical/Surgical floor; Surgery/Recovery department and the Emergency Room.

Should you need any help during your hospitalization in arranging services that will be needed after discharge, the Discharge Planner at Ward Memorial can assist you.

Ward Memorial also provides a Swing Bed program that allows patients to continue receiving skilled nursing inpatient services when they might not qualify for routine acute inpatient care.

Nurses are challenged as they maintain their skills and knowledge base for care of pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and surgical patients.  Nurses are encouraged and compensated for certifications in PALS, and ACLS.
