In 2002 Ultrasonography capabilities were upgraded to provide the most advanced 3 dimensional readings available and a new state-of-the-art CT Scanner was added, equipped with the most cutting edge technology on the market today. Both readings are sent electronically over high-speed transmission lines, directly to the Radiologist doing the reading, making result turn-around time as fast as possible.

			The latest editions to the Ward Memorial Radiology Department came this year with the purchase of a new top-of-the-line Portable Radiology Machine that enables the X-ray to come to the patient in cases where the patient is too critical to come to the Radiology Department. The machine purchased is the only one in the area that is equipped with an automatic exposure control paddle that automatically cuts off the radiation preventing over or under exposure to the patient. The Ward Memorial Radiology Department is available for scheduled outpatient radiological services Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 6: PM. Each patient must register with Admissions before receiving Radiology Services.
